Women's Volleyball Playoff Game at Home Saturday 3 pm

Windsor, ON –  The St. Clair College women's volleyball team will open their OCAA playoff schedule at the Sportsplex on Saturday afternoon against Algonquin College from Ottawa.

The women will take to the floor at 3 pm to face the Wolves. The St. Clair women ended the regular season 14-4 and tied for 2nd in the West Division. St. Clair won 45 sets and lost 22. The Saints are ranked 4th in Ontario. Algonquin ended the season in 5th place in the East Division with a record of 11-7 and are ranked 10th in the OCAA. The Wolves won 38 sets and lost 26.

The Saints have had great seasons by several players. St. Clair has been led offensively by second year outside hitter Kiana Huggins (London; Saunders Secondary) who is 7th in the OCAA with 2.84 kills per set. Third year outsider hitter Chantal DeVlugt (Wyoming; LCCVI) has also had a strong season averaging 2.9 points/set. Rookie setter Emma Clements (Windsor; Holy Names) has also fit in nicely and is 6th in the OCAA with .76 service aces per set and is averaging 6.46 assists per set.

The winner of the match will advance to the OCAA Championship from February 23-25 at Sheridan College in Oakville.

As an added bonus all St. Clair College students in attendance will be eligible to win one of five $1,000.00 scholarships that will be drawn during the match.

Admission is $5 for adults and St. Clair Students are free.
