Men's Volleyball Drop Playoff Match
(North Bay, ON) - The St. Clair men's volleyball team season came to an end on Saturday night in North Bay in a tough playoff loss. The Saints played well against the top ranked Canadore Panthers but fell by a score of 3-1.
Canadore took a tight first set 25-23. St. Clair bounced back to win the second set 25-17 to tie the match 1-1. The Panthers came back from being down early to in the third set winning it 25-21. Canadore closed out the match winning the fourth set 25-22.
Canadore is ranked 2nd in the OCAA and 9th in Canada and will advance to the OCAA Championship at Fanshawe College from February 23-25.
St. Clair ended the season with in 7th place in the tough OCAA West Division with a record of 8-10. It was a big improvement from the previous year where the Saints were 1-8 and missed the playoffs.
