Men's Volleyball Playoff Bound

Windsor, ON –  The St. Clair College men's volleyball team will open their OCAA playoff schedule on Saturday night in North Bay against Canadore College.

The men will take to the floor at 6 pm to face the Panthers. The St. Clair men ended the regular season 8-10 in 7th place in the tough OCAA West Division. St. Clair won 31 sets and lost 37. The season was a big improvement from last year where the Saints were 1-8 in the COVID shortened season and missed the playoffs.

Canadore ended the season tied for first place in the East Division with a record of 15-3 and are ranked 2nd in the OCAA and 9th in Canada.. The Panthers won 47 sets and lost 24.

The Saints have had great seasons by several players. St. Clair has been led offensively by rookie outside hitter Kale Wilkinson (Windsor; Riverside) who is 10th in the entire OCAA with 2.7 kills per set. Rookie outside hitter Eric Glos (Tecumseh; Tecumseh Vista) has also had a strong season averaging 2.5 points/set. Libero Blake Harnadek (Cottam; Essex) was great defensively for the Saints with strong serve reception and was 5th in the OCAA averaging 2.71 digs per set.

The winner of the match will advance to the OCAA Championship from February 23-25 at Fanshawe College.
