St. Clair Striving for OFC Perfection Saturday

Windsor, ON – The St. Clair Fratmen (7-0) will be looking for their first Ontario Football Conference (OFC) undefeated regular season since 2015 when they host the Hamilton Hurricanes (4-3) Saturday night at Acumen Stadium.  The #2 nationally rated Fratmen will kick-off at 7:00pm in the 2021 OFC regular season finale for both teams.

Hamilton is coming off a 30-2 loss at home to the London Beefeaters who will meet in the OFC Semi-final on Nov. 13th regardless of Saturday's outcome.  The Fratmen will host the Quinte Skyhawks in the other semi-final with the winners facing each other in the OFC Final Nov. 20th

Reigning OFC and CJFL Offensive Player of the week Jacob Savoni (LaSalle, ON) remains atop the league in scoring (14 TD's), yardage (794) and carries (101) while rushing for nearly 8 yards per attempt.  By comparison Hamilton's Issac McAlonan has 401 yards and is averaging 7 per carry with 4 TD's.

Hurricanes quarterback Ethan Belbeck has thrown 13 majors completing nearly 52% of his passes for a total of 1,290 yards but has surrendered 11 interceptions.  Fratmen quarterback Michael Beale (LaSalle, ON) leads the league in passing with 1,495 yards and 22 touchdowns completing 64.9% of his throws with just 4 interceptions. 

St. Clair's receiver Cody Holmes (Windsor, ON) has gained the most OFC yardage (578) on 26 receptions while averaging 22.2 per grab average and 8 majors.  Hamilton pass catcher Quincey Belanger has 459 yards on 29 receptions while averaging 15.8 per catch adding 3 touchdowns. 

Kicker Jake Holloway (Franklin, Tennessee) helped the Fratmen into the record book with a 93-yard kickoff against GTA last weekend which puts him 3rd all-time in the CJFL history and 2nd all-time in the OFC to earn himself Special Teams Player of the Week honours.  He is the OFC leader in kickoff yardage (3560 gross, 61.4 avg.) and is 2nd in league scoring with 49 converts out of 50 attempts, 4 field goals 14 rouge points. 

Fratmen returner Dante Lewis (Windsor, ON) ranks first in punt yardage (334 total, 20.9 avg.) with 2 touchdowns. 

Defensive back Nathaniel Norton (Windsor, ON) leads the OFC with 5 interceptions for a Fratmen team that gives up 10.5 points per game.
