Fratmen Football Race to 5-0 with Lopsided Home Win

Windsor, ON – The St. Clair Fratmen moved their Ontario Football Conference record to 5-0 Saturday night after a home field 60-13 win over the Quinte Skyhawks (1-5).  St. Clair is ranked #2 in the latest Canadian Junior Football League power ranking.  

A 24-point first quarter took the air out of the game but the Fratmen added 31 more unanswered points before halftime and led 55-0 at the break.  Reserves got a chance in the second half but the Fratmen added five more points in the 3rd quarter.  Quinte got on the board with a 32-yard touchdown pass in addition to fumble recovery for a major. 

Dante Lewis (Windsor, ON) had a great game that included hauling in two touchdown passes in addition to a 79-yard punt return for another score.  Fratmen quarterback Michael Beale (LaSalle, ON) threw for 250 yards and three scores on 12 of 14 passing. 

Receiver Cody Holmes (Windsor, ON) needed only two catches to amass 109 yards with teammate Branden McCraney (Windsor, ON) covering 65 yards including a 38-yard touchdown snag as part of his three catches. 

Kicker Jake Holloway (Franklin, Tennessee) made good on all seven Fratmen touchdown converts while adding two kickoff singles and a 23-yard field goal.  Jacob Savoni (Amherstburg, ON) saw limited duty but led the team in rushing with 47 yards and three touchdowns in just six carries. 

Tenoa Alex (Baton Rouge, Louisiana) led St. Clair with four in tackles but Billy Patterson Jr. (Windsor, ON) and Kenley Williams (Brampton, ON) each had an interception to pace the defensive unit. 

The Fratmen travel to Brantford on Sunday, October 17th to take on the Hamilton Hurricanes at Bisons Alumni field located next to the Wayne Gretzky Sports Complex with a 2pm kickoff.
