Men’s Baseball Set for Battle of Unbeaten

Windsor, ON – The St. Clair College Men's Baseball team hold a 5-0 record but host fellow OCAA unbeaten rival Durham College (Oshawa) for a doubleheader on Saturday starting at 1pm at Mic Mac Park's Cullen Stadium field.  This is part of a weekend homestand for the Saints who welcome Sault College (Sault Ste. Marie) on Sunday for a doubleheader starting at 12:00pm.

St. Clair catcher/pitcher Henry Real (Panama City, Panama) is the top batter in the OCAA with a whopping .786 average and leads the Saints with 9 RBI.  Saints' infielder Carter Reh (Harrow, ON/Kingsville) is 7th in OCAA batting with a .533 average including four doubles while adding four stolen bases.  St. Clair first baseman Colin Robinson (Windsor, ON/Kennedy) still leads the OCAA in home runs with three to go with a .400 batting average.  Pitchers Tyler Brown-Amlin (Windsor, ON/Sandwich), Gareth Mann (Ajax, ON) and Cody Moore (LaSalle, ON/Sandwich) all have a win this season and have not allowed an earned run in their appearances.  Sam McKinlay (Tilbury, ON) and Brady Knelsen (Leamington, ON) also have a pitching win apiece for the Saints.

Durham owns an unblemished record at 6-0 having feasted on the three of the four teams at the bottom of the OCAA standings and boast a potent offense with five players in the top-10 of OCAA hitting led by outfielder Cole Cote (Welland, ON) who is batting .727 and tops the league with 22 RBI.  Infielder/pitcher Ryan Mattes (Whitby, ON), outfielder Zach Rivers (Oshawa, ON) and infielder Jacob Mahoney (Toronto, ON) are all hitting above .500 on the season also for Durham.  Nick King (Whitby, ON) has a pair of pitching wins for the Lords with a 1.56 ERA.

The Sault Cougars are 1-7 so far this season but their lone victory came over Humber (7-2) who rank first in OCAA wins.  Some local players will get a brief homecoming as catcher/outfielder Dylan Rudge (Tecumseh, ON/Essex) and pitcher Lucas Ingratta (Leamington, ON/L'Essor) suit up for the Cougars.

The games will be streamed live by WE-Digital Productions and available at the following link https://www.ocaalive.com/en/channel/st-clair-college.65
