Women's Volleyball End Regular Season 16-2

The St. Clair women's volleyball team was in Sudbury this past weekend to wrap up their OCAA regular season schedule and came home with 2 convincing wins.

On Saturday afternoon, the Saints took on the Cambrian Golden Shield and came away with a solid 3-0 win. Set scores for St. Clair were 25-16, 25-18 and 25-16. With the loss Cambrian's record fell to 7-11 on the season.

Second year middle Geneva Huisman (Amherstburg; Marantha) led the way for the Saints with 13 kills, 1 service ace, 1 stuff block, and 4 digs.

On Sunday afternoon, St. Clair was at College Boreal and took down the Vipers 3-0. Set scores for the Saints were 25-13, 25-15,and 25-12. With the loss Boreal's record fell to 1-17 on the year.

Third year outsider hitter Kiana Huggins (London; Saunders) had a big game for the Saints with 7 kills, 4 service aces and 5 digs in 2 sets played.

With the two wins, the St. Clair women ended their regular season with a record of 16-2 on the season and in second place in the OCAA West Division. The Saints are currently ranked 2^nd in Ontario and 8^th in Canada.

The Saints will now host La Cite (7^th East) on Saturday, February 10 at 2 pm at the Sportsplex. The winner will advance to the OCAA Quarterfinal
