Women's Volleyball End Regular Season 16-2

The St. Clair women's volleyball team was in Sudbury this past weekend to wrap up their OCAA regular season schedule and came home with 2 convincing wins.

On Saturday afternoon, the Saints took on the Cambrian Golden Shield and came away with a solid 3-0 win. Set scores for St. Clair were 25-16, 25-18 and 25-16. With the loss Cambrian's record fell to 7-11 on the season.

Second year middle Geneva Huisman (Amherstburg; Marantha) led the way for the Saints with 13 kills, 1 service ace, 1 stuff block, and 4 digs.

On Sunday afternoon, St. Clair was at College Boreal and took down the Vipers 3-0. Set scores for the Saints were 25-13, 25-15,and 25-12. With the loss Boreal's record fell to 1-17 on the year.

Third year outsider hitter Kiana Huggins (London; Saunders) had a big game for the Saints with 7 kills, 4 service aces and 5 digs in 2 sets played.

With the two wins, the St. Clair women ended their regular season with a record of 16-2 on the season and in second place in the OCAA West Division. The Saints are currently ranked 2nd in Ontario and 8th in Canada.

The Saints will now host La Cite (7th East) on Saturday, February 10 at 2 pm at the Sportsplex. The winner will advance to the OCAA Quarterfinal
