Women's Volleyball Split Games in GTA

The St. Clair women's volleyball team travelled to the GTA area this weekend to wrap up their first semester OCAA schedule and came away with a split.

On Saturday, the Saints were in Oakville to take on the Sheridan Bruins and came away with a convincing 3-0 win. Set scores for St. Clair were 25-16, 25-20 and 25-12. With the loss Sheridan's record fell to 2-9.

On Sunday afternoon, St. Clair was in Etobicoke to take on the top ranked Humber Hawks and suffered a hard fought 3-0 loss. Set scores for Humber were 25-22, 25-23, and 25-19.

With the win Humber ends their first half unbeaten with a record of 11-0. Humber is ranked 1st Ontario and 3rd in Canada.

Outside hitter Kiana Huggins (London; Saunders) led the way for the Saints with 13 kills, 1 stuff block, 1 service ace and 9 digs.

With the weekend split the St. Clair women are now 9-2 on the season.  The Saints are ranked 2nd in Ontario and 8th in Canada. Both of St. Clair's losses were to Humber.

The Saints are now off for the exam and holiday break and will resume league play on Saturday, January 13 when they host Niagara at 4 pm at the Sportsplex
