Women's Volleyball Season Ends

(Oakville; ON) The St. Clair College women's volleyball season came to end on Thursday afternoon at the OCAA Championship in Oakville. The event is being host by Sheridan College.

The Saints fell to the Seneca College Sting by a score of 3-0 in the OCAA quarterfinal match. Set scores for Seneca were 25-20, 25-22 and 25-23. St. Clair played right with the Sting for the whole match but could not get some key points at key times in each set. Unfortunately for St. Clair the match ended on a controversial call that went in the Stings favour that could have potentially turned the tide. St. Clair actually outscored the Sting 57 to 35 but some untimely errors were the key difference in the match along with some clutch play by Seneca at key times.

Rookie middle Geneva Huisman (Amherstburg; Marantha Christian Academy) was named the Player of the Game for St. Clair. Huisman had 9 kills on 17 attempts along with 7 stuff blocks.
