Women's Volleyball Start Semester with Win Over Fanshawe

(Windsor, ON)- The St. Clair women's volleyball team opened up their second semester OCAA regular season schedule on Wednesday night at the Sportsplex and came away with a hard fought 3-2 win over the Fanshawe College Falcons (London).

Set scores for St. Clair 23-25, 25-14, 25-17, 19-25, and 15-11.

Second year outside hitter Chantal DeVlugt (Wyoming; LCCVI) led the way offensively for the Saints with 13 kills, 1 stuff block, 1 service ace and 7 digs. Rookie setter Emma Clements (Windsor; Holy Names) had a great match with 35 assists, 2 kills, 4 services aces, 1 stuff block and 14 digs.

With the win St. Clair improved to 8-2 on the season while Fanshawe dropped to 3-7. The Saints are currently ranked 4^th in Ontario.

The Saints are back in action on Saturday, January 14 when then host Mohawk College at the Sportsplex at 3 pm.
