Women's Volleyball End Semester with Big Win

(Windsor, ON)- The St. Clair women's volleyball team concluded their OCAA regular season schedule at the Sportsplex on Saturday afternoon and came away with a big 3-1 win over the Niagara College Knights (Welland).

Set scores for St. Clair 17-25, 25-20, 25-13 and 25-23.

Second year outside hitter Kiana Huggins (London; Saunders) led the way offensively for the Saints with 18 kills, 1 assist, and 14 digs which included a 441 kill percentage. Rooke middle Geneva Huisman (Amhertsburg; Marantha Christian) also had a big game with 10 kills (444 kill percentage), 1 service ace and 3 stuff blocks.

With the win St. Clair improved to 7-2 on the season while Niagara dropped to 6-3. The Saints are currently ranked 5th  in Ontario while the Knights are ranked 4th in the OCAA. St. Clair has won 23 sets and only dropped 12 in the first semester.

The Saints are now off for the exam and Christmas break and will return to action on Wednesday, January 11 when then host Fanshawe College at the Sportsplex at 6 pm.
