Women's Soccer Defeat Conestoga

The St. Clair College women's soccer team continued their OCAA regular season on Saturday afternoon in Kitchener against the Conestoga College Condors and came home with a solid 3-0 win.

Victoria Walsh (Georgetown; Christ the King) started the scoring for the Saints in the 12th minute. Jessica Doll (LaSalle; Villanova) put one in the net in the 19th minute assisted by Alexa Mognon (LaSalle; Assumption).  St. Clair played a solid defensive game for the rest of the match led by Lily Collins (Windsor; Holy Names) and Layla Hutson (Windsor; Holy Names). Talia Liburdi (Tecumseh; St. Anne's) wrapped up the scoring in the 72nd minute.

Keeper Scotlyn Fick (Belle River; Belle River District) had another solid game earing the win and clean sheet. It was the 6th shutout in 8 games for the Saints. St. Clair had 16 shot attempts compared to 6 for the Condors.

With the win the Saints record improved to 5 wins, 1 loss and 2 ties on the season. St. Clair is currently ranked 6th in Ontario.

St. Clair is next in action on Wednesday, October 11 when they host the Fanshawe Falcons at 6 pm at Acumen Stadium.
