Women's Indoor Soccer Narrowly Miss Provincial Semifinal

(Vaughan, ON) The St. Clair women's varsity indoor soccer team travelled to Vaughan to take part in the OCAA Championship on Thursday at the Ontario Soccer Centre. The Saints came away with a record of 2 ties and a loss on the day and finished in third place in their pool.

In their first round robin match, St. Clair tied Sheridan College 0-0.

The Saints dropped their second game of the day to George Brown by a score of 3-2. Goal scorers for St. Clair were Jaclyn French (Windsor; FJ Brennan) and Abbey Tremblay (Windsor; Holy Names)

In their final game of the day, St. Clair had to win over Centennial College to ensure they would advance to the semifinal on Friday. The Saints went up 1-0 early in the match on a goal by Oliva Fryer (Windsor; Vincent Massey). However, Centennial broke the Saints hearts with a goal in the last minute of play to tie the game at 1-1 and advance to the semifinal.
