Bio

Milanis is a Tecumseh native and joined the coaching staff in the 2018-19 season having already been with two different Saints teams in the past.  She began playing her club basketball for the Tecumseh Saints before joining the Windsor Valiants JUEL program (2012 & 2014) which was split by a season with the St. Clair JUEL team in 2013.

She also graduated from St. Anne High School in Lakeshore leading the Saints to three WECSSAA Gold Medals (2010-2013) and three SWOSSAA titles (2010-2013).  With Milanis as the starting point guard, St. Anne earned a pair of quarter-final finishes and a Bronze Medal in 2012 in three OFSAA appearances at the ‘AAAA’ level.  During her high school years, she also competed in soccer playing L3 travel for the Regional District Club Eastside Kickers program from 2009 to 2011.

Milanis was individually recognized as a 3-time WECSSAA 1st Team All-Star selection (2011-2014) and named the league’s Most Valuable Player in 2013.  She was also voted the St. Anne Team MVP in 2013 and 2014.  Milanis went on to play two seasons as part of the Wilfrid Laurier University Golden Hawks program (2015-17) and then transferred home spending a year with the University of Windsor Lancers in 2017-18.

Milanis gained coaching experience from both the Wilfrid Laurier Basketball Summer Camp (2014 & 2015) and the Lancer Basketball Summer Camp (2017) programs.  She has volunteered for the Windsor Valiants House League Basketball program (2017) and for the CIS Women’s Basketball Championships held in Windsor (2014).  She also gave her time to the International Children’s Games as a field official in 2013 and as a Group Leader to the Pinecrest Adventures Camp for Hemophilia Ontario (2018).

Milanis is currently finishing her undergraduate studies at the University of Windsor in Communications, Media, & Film towards attaining a Bachelor of Arts Degree.
