Women’s Basketball Begin 2024 with Two Home Exhibition Wins

Windsor, ON – The St. Clair College Women's Basketball team got their 2024 exhibition season started well with a pair of convincing wins at the SportsPlex this weekend.  The Saints won 92-57 over Centennial College (Scarborough) on Saturday and then dispatched Durham College (Oshawa) 79-33 on Sunday. 

3rd year transfer guard Ava Proskos (Pickering, ON) came off the bench to lead the Saints in Saturday's win with 15 points and added 5 assists.  5th year guard Janae Smith (Warren, MI) recorded a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds for St. Clair while teammates Peri Colthurst (Windsor, ON/St. Joseph's) and Kaelyn Batten (LaSalle, ON/St. Thomas of Villanova) each chipped in with 12 points.

Batten was the only scorer in double figures for St. Clair on Sunday who had 12 points to go with 5 assists to help her team past Durham.

The Saints travel to Montreal next weekend to participate in the Joel Tyrell Classic Tournament hosted by Dawson College.
