Men's Volleyball Split Games in Toronto

The St. Clair men's volleyball team travelled to the Toronto area this weekend to begin their second semester schedule and came home with a split.

On Saturday, St. Clair was in Etobicoke to take on the top ranked Humber Hawks and fell 3-0. Set scores for Humber were 25-17, 25-18, and 25-13.

With the win Humber improved their record 13-0. Humber is ranked 1st Ontario and 3rd in Canada.

Zach Walls (Amherstburg; Villanova) had a solid game for the Saints with 6 kills and 1 stuff block.

On Sunday afternoon, the Saints were in Oakville to take on the Sheridan Bruins and came away with a hard fought 3-2 win. Set scores for St. Clair were 25-22, 25-23, 18-25, 27-29 and 15-11. With the loss Sheridan's record fell to 3-10.

Outside hitter Kale Wilkinson (Windsor; Riverside) had a big game with 18 kills and 1 stuff block.

With the weekend split the St. Clair men are now 4-9 on the season but in a playoff position with 5 matches remaining.

The Saints are next in action at home on Saturday, January 18th when they host Cambrian College at 3 pm.
