Men's Volleyball Earn Split on the Road

The St. Clair men's volleyball team headed up this 401 this weekend to the Toronto area to wrap up their first semester OCAA schedule and came home with a split.

On Saturday, the Saints were in Oakville to take on the Sheridan Bruins and came away with a solid 3-0 win. Set scores for St. Clair were 25-20, 25-15 and 25-22. With the loss Sheridan's record fell to 1-10.

On Sunday afternoon, St. Clair was in Etobicoke to take on the Humber Hawks and suffered a hard fought exciting 3-2 loss. Set scores for Humber were 25-22, 20-25, 22-25, 25-22 and 18-16.

With the win Humber ends their first semester with a 7-4 record. Humber is ranked 10th in Ontario but are the hottest team in the OCAA West winning 5 straight matches.

Outside hitter Kale Wilkinson (Windsor; Riverside) led the way for the Saints with 18 kills, 2 service aces and 5 digs.

With the weekend split the St. Clair men are now 8-3 on the season. The Saints are ranked 2nd in Ontario and 9th in Canada.

The Saints are now off for the exam and holiday break and will resume league play on Saturday, January 13 when they host Niagara at 2 pm at the Sportsplex.
