Men's Volleyball Get to 500 Mark

(Windsor, ON)- The St. Clair men's volleyball team wrapped up their OCAA regular season home schedule at the Sportsplex on Sunday afternoon and came away with a convincing 3-0 win over the College Boreal Viperes (Sudbury).

Set scores for St. Clair were 25-10, 25-16, and 25-17.

Jacob Arsenault-Dufour (Sarnia; St. Francois Xavier) led the way offensively for the Saints with 7 kills, 2 stuff blocks and 2 service aces. Connor O'Donohue (Chatham; John McGregor) also had a solid match with 7 kills, 1 service ace, 2 assists and 4 digs.

With the win St. Clair improved to on 8-8 the season while Boreal dropped to 0-16.

The Saints honoured graduating senior student athletes Jacob Derksen, Zach Walls, Connor O'Donohue, Blake Harnadek and Vaunn Smith prior to the match.

The west division playoff standings are tight with the possibility of the Saints finishing anywhere from fourth to eighth with two more matches remaining.

St. Clair will wrap up their regular season schedule on the road next weekend as they travel to GTA area to play Humber on Saturday and Sheridan on Sunday.
