Volleyball Teams Open Second Semester Schedule at Home Wednesday Night

Windsor, ON –  The St. Clair College men's and women's volleyball teams will begin their second semester schedules on Wednesday night as they host the Fanshawe College Falcons (London) at the Sportsplex.

The women will take to the floor at 6 pm to face the Falcons. The St. Clair women are currently 7-2 on the season and are ranked in 4th in Ontario. Fanshawe is 3-6 at the midpoint of their season.

The Saints defeated Fanshawe in London on October 30 by a score of 3-2.

The St. Clair women have had a great balanced attack for the first semester with several players making key contributions. Veteran outside hitters Kiana Huggins (London; Saunders) and Chantal DeVlugt (Wyoming; LCCVI) lead the way averaging 3.1 and 3 points/set respectively. Libero Mikayla Stocks (LaSalle; Sandwich) also had a great semester averaging 2.4 digs/set.

The men's game will begin after the women at 8 pm. The St. Clair men are 4-5 on the season while Fanshawe is 8-1 and are ranked 2nd in Ontario and 3rd in Canada.

The Falcons took down the Saints 3-0 on October 30 in London.

The Saints men have also had a very balanced offense in the first semester with 5 players averaging over 2.4 points/set. Outside hitter Marc Galipeau (LaSalle; Sandwich) leads the way with 3 points/set while rookie outside hitter Kale Wilkinson (Windsor; Riverside) had a great first semester averaging 2.6 points/set.

Admission is $5 for adults and St. Clair Students are free.
