Men's Soccer Tie Fanshawe on the Road

(London; ON) The St. Clair College men's soccer team travelled up the 401 to London on Saturday to take on their rival Fanshawe College.

In an evenly matched game the Saints came away with a 1-1 draw against the Falcons.

Fanshawe opened the scoring in the 16^th minute. St. Clair tied the match up in the 50^th minute on a goal by Tanner Page (Bothwell; West Elgin) assisted by Michael Zivcic (Windsor, St. Joe's).

The Saints had 12 shot attempts while the Falcons had 14. The Saints had the edge in corner kicks 7-2.

Heading into the match Fanshawe was ranked 4^th in the OCAA while the Saints were ranked 8^th. St. Clair now has a win and a draw on the season while Fanshawe has a win and 2 ties.

St. Clair is next in action when they travel to Redeemer University on Friday and Mohawk College on Saturday for a doubleheader on the road.
