Men's Indoor Soccer Qualify for Championships

(Vaughan, ON) The St. Clair men's varsity indoor soccer team travelled to Vaughan to take part in the OCAA Regionals on Monday, February 26 at Ontario Soccer Centre. The Saints came away with a record of 2-1-1 on the day and placed second in their pool.

In their first match, St. Clair won a hard fought battle over Centennial College by a score of 2-1.

The Saints next game was against a tough Redeemer University squad and it took a late short handed goal for St. Clair to earn a 1-1 tie.

In their third match St. Clair easily handled the Lambton Lions by a score of 4-0.

In their final game of the day the Saints fell to Conestoga who went 4-0 on the day by a score of 3-0 with a couple late goals against in a game that was closer than the final score indicated.

With the second place pool finish the men have qualified for the OCAA Final 8 Championship March 7-8 at the Ontario Soccer Centre.
