Men's Basketball Adds Height with Younger Tiea

Windsor, ON – The St. Clair College Men's Basketball team is pleased to announce the commitment of Musa Tiea (Windsor, ON/Kennedy) who begins his post-secondary career with the Saints in 2025-26.

The 6'9" Tiea is the younger brother of current 6'7" St. Clair All-Canadian Mazin Tiea who together will form an imposing frontcourt for OCAA foes.  Tiea played for Kennedy's Prep program the last two seasons garnering the attention from next level recruiters based on his athleticism across several positions defensively and offensively.

Saints Co-Head Coach Matt Sykes raved about the incoming standout saying, "Adding a local player with the talent level of Musa is always a win for our program.  But getting the chance to enjoy brothers play together is something that will be special for us.  We have observed Musa throughout his high school career at Kennedy and we are grateful for the opportunity to coach him.  At 6'9" he will add some much-needed size to our roster.  Musa can play inside and out on offense while being able to defend all positions which will allow us the chance to play him with Mazin.  We will have some unique lineups on the court with a large size advantage over opponents."

Sykes finished, "Musa is a great person and teammate.  He will represent everything St. Clair Basketball has valued in the last few years.  Musa will be a joy to watch for Saints Nation and get to know over his years here."

Tiea will start his studies in St. Clair's Protection, Security and Investigation program which also follows in his older brother's academic footsteps.
