Saints March over Canadore in North Bay
North Bay, ON – The St. Clair College Men's Basketball team moved their record to 10-3 after a convincing 105-57 win over Canadore College in North Bay Sunday afternoon. The Saints are now alone in 2nd Place and trail only West Division leading Mohawk (11-2).
St. Clair quickly built a 24-12 lead after the opening quarter but doubled up Canadore again in the second (36-18) for a 60-30 halftime advantage. The Saints then spread around the minutes allowing the reserves to increase the spread until the final verdict.
St. Clair made 11 triples shooting over 35% from distance but scored nearly half their points from inside the key converting 53% of their total attempts in the game. The Saints also outdid Canadore 47-17 in points off the bench.
For the second game in a row Jesiah Deer (Whitby, ON) came off the St. Clair bench to lead his team in scoring with 19 points and added 3 rebounds. Terence Williams (Windsor, ON) had a perfect shooting game making all seven of his attempts and finished with 16 points for the Saints. Shakael Pryce (Pickering, ON) had 15 points adding 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Chad Vincent-Simon (Scarborough, ON) scored 14 points for St. Clair while clearing 5 boards. Hanani Ujullu (Kitchener, ON) reached double figures in rebounding snaring 11 to go with 8 points for the Saints.
Moses Orange (Scarborough, ON) scored 17 points for Canadore in the loss.
St. Clair is on the road again for their next OCAA West Division match-up at Lambton College (Sarnia) on Wednesday at 8:00pm.
