Cowling Wins Second Straight Event

Cowling Wins Second Straight Event

(Windsor, ON) The St. Clair College golf teams had another good outing at the St. Clair Invitational which they hosted this past weekend at Ambassador Golf Club on Saturday and Roseland Golf Club on Sunday.

Over 90 male and female OCAA and OUA golfers took part in the two day event.

Alyssa Cowling (Oldcastle; Villanova) had a great event finishing in a tie with University of Windsor golfer Kennedy Fremlin with a two day total of 149 (6 over par). Both golfers shot 73 on Saturday at Ambassador and 76 on Sunday at Roseland.  Unfortunately the Saints did not count in the team event as their second golfer was disqualified on Sunday due to an incorrect scorecard submission.

The men's event had to be shortened to a 32 hole event due to darkness on Sunday at Roseland as all players could not complete their round.  The top individual Saint was Spencer Higginbottom (Lakeshore; Tecumseh Vista) who was tied for 8th at 2 over par through 32 holes.
