St. Clair Fratmen Host London Saturday in OFC Final

Windsor, ON – The Fratmen (9-0) will be looking for their first Ontario Football Conference Championship since 2017 when they host the London Beefeaters (7-2) Saturday night at Acumen Stadium.

St. Clair will be enforcing a double vaccination standard for all spectators aged 12 and older.  All those entering the SportsPark are asked to arrive early with their vaccination proof and identification available for screening before admission will be granted. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00pm Saturday but tickets will go on sale at 5:00pm with admission to Acumen Stadium at 6:00pm.

London won their OFC semi-final over Hamilton last weekend by a score of 24-0 but has lost twice to St. Clair this past season.  The Fratmen needed a late score in the final minute to get past the Beefeaters 29-22 on September 11th at Acumen Stadium but won 51-28 in London on October 2nd.  This game is a rematch of the 2019 OFC Championship game that the Fratmen lost 28-20 in Windsor.

For his efforts in the win over Hamilton DL Mathieu Labelle was named OFC and CJFL Defensive Player of the Week after collecting 7 solo tackles to go with a sack for the Beefeaters.

Because of his performance in St. Clair's 47-3 semi-final win over Quinte last Saturday, OFC and CJFL Offensive Player of the Week honours went to WR Jared Hayes-Williams (Windsor, ON) who hauled in 5 passes for 114 yards and 3 touchdowns for the Fratmen.  Dante Lewis (Windsor, ON) was named OFC and CJFL Special Teams Player of the Week after returning his only attempt 87 yards to the house which was his fourth kick or punt return for a touchdown on the season.  Earlier this week Lewis was announced by the OFC as the Outstanding Return Specialist of the Year.

Fratmen C/OG Kyle Jennings (Wheatley, ON) was named the Offensive Lineman of the Year which will make for a good matchup Saturday as London features the OFC Top Defensive Lineman in Jordan Fletcher.

Should St. Clair get past London on Saturday they will host the Canadian Bowl National Championship game on Dec. 4th against the winner of Langley and Saskatoon who matchup Saturday outside Vancouver.
