Fratmen Football Rout Quinte in Belleville

Belleville, ON – The St. Clair Fratmen travelled to Belleville Sunday beating the Quinte Skyhawks by a score of 68-6 which was played on the campus of Loyalist College.  Quinte is a first-year expansion team in the OFC and CJFL. 

The Fratmen began the scoring on 2-yard pass to Jared Hayes-Williams from quarterback Michael Beale (LaSalle, ON) which was converted by OFC Special Teams Player of the Week Jake Holloway (Franklin, Tennessee) who then booted for a single point on the ensuing kickoff. 

From that point the running game was set into motion for St. Clair with Jacob Savoni (Amherstburg, ON) scoring two majors from four yards and another goal line plunge.  Linebacker Nick Brajkovic (Windsor, ON) also returned a fumble recovery 15 yards for a touchdown in the frame for the Fratmen.  Quinte made good on a pair of field goals in the second quarter, but St. Clair's halftime lead stood at 29-6. 

In the third quarter Savoni ran in another short touchdown with Holloway adding the convert, kickoff single along with a field goal.  Running back Kian Voakes (Windsor, ON) had a 3-yard touchdown which was also converted by Holloway. 

In the fourth David Reaume (Cottam, ON) scored on a short run followed by 16-yard touchdown from Owen Malott-Bennett (Chatham, ON) to Dylan Samuels (Windsor, ON).  Enzey Youyoute (Niagara Falls, ON) finished the scoring with a 96-yard burst with Holloway making good on all majors in the final quarter. 

Fratmen linebacker Josh Allen (LaSalle, ON) was named OFC Defensive Player of the Week finishing with a batted ball, an interception returned for 77 yards to go with a sack and 2 tackles. 

Youyoute was the high yardage man for the Fratmen out of the backfield finishing with 96 yards on his one touch for a major while Savoni ended the day with 58 yards on 9 carries including his three touchdowns.  Voakes' 7 carries resulted in 39 yards on the ground while receiver Cody Holmles (Windsor, ON) caught four passes for a total of 93 yards for St. Clair.  Beale distributed 155 yards in the air completing 12 of his 21 throws for the Fratmen including a touchdown. 

The Fratmen are on the road this week in London for rematch against the Beefeaters with kickoff Saturday scheduled for 3:00pm at City Wide Sports Park.
