Women's Softball Bring in BC Commitment

Windsor, ON – The St. Clair College Women's Softball team is pleased to announce the commitment of 5'5" middle infielder/pitcher Ashton Fong (Colwood, BC) who will join the Saints lineup in 2024.

Fong has been multi-sport athlete and gained her softball experience at the club level with the Langford Lightning, Victoria Devils, Glory Softball and Surrey Storm programs.  She was a BC Summer Games Bronze medalist in 2022 and won a U17 Provincial Silver medal in 2023 before earning a Bronze at the National Championship later that summer.

Saints Head Coach Doug Wiseman praised Fong by saying, "Ashton is a speedy player who brings an energetic and positive personality to the team.  She is a dedicated and determined player who will add depth to our team as a pitcher along with her versatility as she can play multiple positions effectively."

Wiseman finished, "Ashton will be given the opportunity to come in and contribute immediately in 2024.  We are looking forward to Ashton joining the Saints Softball family."

Fong begins her Honours Bachelor of Applied Arts in Social Justice and Legal studies at St. Clair starting this fall.
