Women's Softball Sign Another Top Recruit

Windsor, ON – The St. Clair College Women's Softball team added another top recruit to their 2024 pile with the commitment of Zahnyah Jackson from Brampton.

The 5'7" Jackson is graduating from St. Edmund Campion Secondary School and played catcher as well as outfield for the Oakville Angels club program helping them to a provincial 3rd Place finish as well as earning an Ontario Summer Games Summer Bronze Medal.

Saints Head Coach Doug Wiseman said, "We are very excited to add a player with Zahnyah's talent and work ethic to our 2024 softball program.  She is a left-handed hitter who sprays the ball to all fields and will add depth to our catcher position as she has an outstanding arm and outstanding speed.  She brings versatility with her defensive ability not only behind the plate but also in the outfield."

Former Oakville Angels Coach Tyson Levac added, "Zahnyah will bring a great attitude and a relentless work ethic to the team."

Wiseman finished, "Zahnyah is an exciting player who plays an aggressive style of softball offensively and defensively which suits our game.  We are looking forward to seeing Zahnyah's hard work transition into the OCAA and having her in a Saints unform."

Jackson will begin her studies this fall in St. Clair's Pre-Health Science program.
