Bio

Paradis joins the Saints Baseball staff in preparation for the 2023 season bringing a wealth of knowledge from an extensive playing and coaching background.

He is a homegrown talent spending his formative years with the Windsor Little Big-League team where he led them to a pair of Canadian Championships in 1974 (Named to the All-World Team in Fort Lauderdale. FL) and again in 1975.  He added two more National titles with the Windsor Mic Macs (1978 & 1979) while he began his senior baseball career with the storied Windsor Chiefs which lasted for 13 seasons.  During that span he helped the Chiefs to National crowns in 1982, ’84, ’86, ’88 and was a player/coach in the 1989 Canadian Championship finishing with another title in 1991.  All told as a player Paradis is credited with 15 Ontario and 10 Canadian Championships.

Getting an early start on his coaching accolades Paradis helped the 1982 Riverside Juvenile team to a Canadian Championship before his player/coach duties with the Chiefs in the 1989 national title.  He guided Turtle Club to a pair of Ontario Championships (2008 & 2009) in addition to another crown in 2011 with the LaSalle Titans.  Including a title as a player/coach with the Windsor Chiefs (1989) Paradis has been on the bench for a total of 4 Provincial Championships.

Paradis has stayed busy most recently as the Bench Coach and Infield Coordinator for the Windsor Selects along with serving currently as the Skills Expert for the WECDSB Baseball Sports Academy in addition to aiding the Windsor Stars minor baseball program.

One of the most endearing projects Paradis has involved himself with is as a Co-Founder of the Uncle Jacks Baseball Academy which provides free baseball instruction to kids in the Windsor/Essex region.  Their mission is to simply promote and teach the game of baseball in a fun and positive manner where boys and girls of all ages and skill levels can understand, learn and develop.
