Men's Soccer Defeat Lambton

Windsor, ON - The St. Clair men's soccer team defeated the Lambton Lions 8-0 on Wednesday night at Acumen Stadium to earn their first win ever on their new home turf.

The Saints got off to a great start when Massimo Pollard (Windsor; Holy Names) buried one in the back of the net in the 3rd minute of play. St. Clair went up 2-0 in the 8th minute on a nice goal by Austin Severino (Kingsville; Kingsville District). The Saints dominated the play for the rest of the match. Noel Junior (Brazil) and Carlos DaGloria Jr (Leamington; Cardinal Carter) both added two goals each with singles going to Matt Montaleone (Windsor; Holy Names) and Dillon Hayes (Amherstburg; General Amherst) to round out the scoring.

Jonathan Rondinelli (Windsor; Riverside) turned aside all 5 shots he faced to get the win and clean sheet. The Saints had 33 shot attempts with 25 on goal.

With the win Saints record improved to 2 wins and a loss on the season. The St. Clair men are currently ranked 10th in Ontario.

The Saints are back in action on Sunday when they host the Conestoga Condors at Acumen Stadium at 4 pm in their final regular season OCAA home game. St. Clair defeated the Condor 3-1 on September 25 in Kitchener
