Men’s Basketball Start Exhibition Season with Win

Barrie, ON – The St. Clair College Men's Basketball team began their exhibition season with a 105-84 win over Georgian College in Barrie Saturday afternoon.

The Saints moved ahead 22-15 after the opening quarter but trailed 48-46 by halftime.  However, a 33-point outburst in the third quarter was the difference in the game as St. Clair led 79-67 heading to the final frame.  The Saints increased their lead down the stretch outscoring the home team 24-17 in the fourth quarter. 

Chad Vincent-Simon (Scarborough, ON) scored 18 of his game high 24 points in the second half to lead St. Clair offensively.  Jesiah Deerr (Whitby, ON) had 17 points including four triples with Mazin Tiea (Windsor, ON/Kennedy) contributing 14 points for the Saints.  Ron Hill (Detroit, MI) chipped in with 12 points off the bench for St. Clair. 

St. Clair is next in action on the road on Friday when they travel to Ann Arbour, MI to face Concordia University.
