Men’s Basketball Reaching for National Title in Calgary

Windsor, ON – Having won the OCAA Provincial Gold Medal last weekend the St. Clair College Men's Basketball team leave Tuesday for the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association National Championship being hosted by Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) in Calgary, AB March 16-19.  As a bonus the University of Calgary's Jack Simpson Gymnasium will be the playing site for the 8-team bracket tournament.

St. Clair (18-3) is riding a 15-game win streak and have not tasted defeat since before the holiday break.  The Saints received a top ranking in their half of the draw and will open the Championship against St. Mary's University (Calgary, AB) on Thursday at 3:00pm (EST) in their quarter-final match-up.  The Lightning were outside the final regular season national rankings but upset #15 Lakeland and #10 Lethbridge before losing to #12 SAIT in the Alberta Conference Championship final.
