Men’s Basketball Reaching for National Title in Calgary

Windsor, ON – Having won the OCAA Provincial Gold Medal last weekend the St. Clair College Men’s Basketball team leave Tuesday for the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association National Championship being hosted by Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) in Calgary, AB March 16-19. As a bonus the University of Calgary’s Jack Simpson Gymnasium will be the playing site for the 8-team bracket tournament.
St. Clair Men’s Basketball Well Represented in OCAA Awards

Windsor, ON – The St. Clair College Men’s Basketball team was well represented amongst the OCAA Award winners recognized Thursday night at the Championship Banquet. The evening was part of the OCAA Provincial Championship weekend being hosted by St. Clair College and was held at their downtown campus Centre for the Arts.

Windsor, ON – St. Clair College will play host to the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association Men’s Basketball Provincial Championship Tournament for the first time since 1980 which will be played March 3-5 at the SportsPlex. The Final Eight format features seven schools that qualified this past weekend in the crossover playoff round while the Saints benefited from some rest with a reserved spot in the quarterfinals as the automatic host entry. St. Clair will face Conestoga College (Kitchener) in the 8:00pm game on Friday which follows three other quarterfinal round games earlier in the day.
St. Clair Men’s Basketball Claim West Riding 9-Game Win Streak

Welland, ON – The St. Clair College Men’s Basketball team claimed the OCAA’s West Division for the first time since the 2001-02 season after drubbing Niagara College in Welland this afternoon by a score of 96-59. The Saints (15-3) are currently ranked 10th in Canada and riding a 9-game winning streak as they await the other seven teams who need to qualify for the OCAA Provincial Championship in Windsor March 3-5. This is only the fourth outright division title for St. Clair in program history and 15 regular season wins is tied for 3rd most in their 55 years of play.

Hamilton, ON – The St. Clair College Men’s Basketball team is taking a run at first place after beating Mohawk College in Hamilton Saturday night by a score of 92-86. Mohawk (14-4) was ranked 7th in Canada and holding the top spot in the OCAA’s West Division while the Saints (14-3) are currently ranked #10 in the nation.
Seven in a Row for St. Clair Men’s Basketball After Humber Win

Windsor, ON – The St. Clair College Men’s Basketball team beat Humber College (Etobicoke) for the first time since 2015 with a 94-83 victory at the SportsPlex Saturday evening stretching their win streak to seven games. The Saints (13-3) have an outside shot at the top spot in the OCAA’s West Division but will have to sweep their final two regular season games on the road next weekend.

Windsor, ON – The St. Clair College Men’s Basketball team moved their winning streak to six games after a 96-86 win over Redeemer University (Ancaster) Friday night at the SportsPlex. The Saints now sport a 12-3 record which stands 2nd place in the OCAA’s West Division.

Sarnia, ON – The St. Clair College Men’s Basketball team survived a late scare to earn a 93-83 win over Lambton College in Sarnia Wednesday night. The Saints (11-3) are now tied in the win column atop the OCAA’s West Division with Mohawk (11-2).

Windsor, ON – The St. Clair College Men’s Basketball team set a school record at the SportsPlex Saturday evening with a 123-82 win over Conestoga College (Kitchener). The Saints (8-3) set a new standard for points scored in a single game breaking the old mark of 120 points which St. Clair had reached on three occasions and most recently in the 2018-19 season.
Men’s Basketball Top Fanshawe in London

London, ON – The St. Clair College Men’s Basketball team were able to play well late Wednesday night posting a tight 81-76 win over Fanshawe College in London for a season series sweep over their 401 rivals. The Saints (7-3) are now tied for 2nd place in the West Division and will start the climb towards hosting the OCAA Final Eight Provincial Championship tournament March 3-5.

Kitchener, ON – For the second time this season the St. Clair College Men’s Basketball team lost in overtime with a 110-101 verdict against Conestoga College in Kitchener Sunday afternoon. The loss drops the Saints into a 4-way tie at 6-3 in the OCAA’s West Division before the semester break.
