St. Clair Men’s Basketball to Battle Host Humber in National Championship Final

Etobicoke, ON – On the heels of upsetting #1 ranked Vancouver Island University (Nanaimo, BC) the St. Clair College Men's Basketball team has set-up themselves up against a familiar opponent in host Humber College at the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association National Championship final Sunday night.  The Saints will tip that game at 7:30pm in Humber's North Campus Gymnasium which will be a rematch of the provincial championship final last week.

Undefeated Humber entered the championship with the nation's 3^rd ranked squad and advanced to the final with an 88-78 win over Capilano University on Friday followed by an 81-79 overtime victory over SAIT Saturday night.  The Hawks are led offensively by 3^rd year 6'0" guard Kevin Otoo (Toronto, ON) who was selected as the OCAA Championship MVP who puts up 17.5 points per game along with 5^th year CCAA All-Canadian 6'1" guard DeQuon Cascart (North York, ON) who nets 21.5 points per game.  First year 6'8" forward Frank Mitchell (Toronto, ON) patrols the paint with an 18.0 rebounds per game average for Humber.

The last time two Ontario teams met in the CCAA National final was 2001 when Humber defeated Sheridan (Oakville, ON).
