St. Clair Women's Softball Start Title Defence at Home on Saturday

Windsor, ON – The reigning provincial and national champion St. Clair College Women's Softball team open their 2023 OCAA regular season on Saturday with a pair of home games at the SportsPark diamond as part of a 3-team round robin. 

The Saints face Lambton College (Sarnia) at 11:00am and then take on Conestoga College (Kitchener) at 1:00pm.  Prior to the opener at 10:45am the members of last season's St. Clair roster will be taking part in a ring presentation ceremony recognizing their 2022 CCSA National Championship.  Lambton and Conestoga finish the round robin event off with a contest at 3:00pm. 

St. Clair travels to Etobicoke on Sunday for a doubleheader where they will meet Sheridan College (Brampton) at 1:00pm followed by a match-up with host Humber College at 3:00pm.

The Saints return all their league all-stars from last season's championship squad including 2022 OCAA Player and Pitcher of the Year Bryanna Kressler (Kitchener, ON), OCAA Batting Champion Amy Claydon (Cambridge, ON) and Rookie of the Year Mckenna Copley (Dover Centre, ON).  Sierra Baltzer (LaSalle, ON), Shae-Lyn Murphy (Windsor, ON/Holy Names) and Judy Lafleur (Essex, ON/Essex) are the other returning league all-stars for the Saints. 

St. Clair's lineup also gathered more strength with the addition of rookies Alivia Peterson (Windsor, ON/St. Anne), Ashley Ventura (Fergus, ON) and Reese Grondin (LaSalle, ON/St. Thomas of Villanova).
