St. Clair College Women's Softball Settle for Silver at Home

Windsor, ON – Durham College (Oshawa) was able to hold off host St. Clair College for their 21st gold medal Saturday with a 9-inning 8-7 victory at the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association Women’s Softball Championship. This was the 9th time the two schools have met in the championship final since 2005.

Windsor, ON – The St. Clair College Women’s Softball team have fashioned one of the best seasons in program history and were rewarded with several OCAA league awards headlined by Player of the Year honours for pitcher/first baseman Amy Claydon (Cambridge, ON) along with Rookie of the Year accolades for shortstop Shae-Lyn Murphy (Windsor, ON).
OCAA Provincial Championship Tournament Back at St. Clair

Windsor, ON – St. Clair College is ready to host the 2021 Ontario Colleges Athletic Association Women’s Softball Provincial Championship tournament Oct. 21-23 which will be held on campus for the first time at the SportsPark diamond. The Saints have hosted this event on four other occasions since the program’s inception in 2002. St. Clair most recently played host to the event in 2014 which was the last time the Saints won the OCAA crown.
Women’s Softball Settle for National Silver

Kelowna, BC – The St. Clair College Women’s Softball team settled for the Silver Medal Sunday afternoon in Kelowna, BC after being outlasted 5-4 in extra innings by host University of British Columbia (Okanagan) at the Canadian Collegiate Softball Association National Championship. The Saints qualified for the Championship final with a 10-3 mercy shortened win over the University of Calgary in the morning and advanced after a tiebreaker.
St. Clair Softball Move to 2-2 at After Day Two of CCSA Nationals

Kelowna, BC – The St. Clair College Women’s Softball team defeated the University of Regina 6-4 but then lost 9-2 to host University of British Columbia (Okanagan) Saturday at the Canadian Collegiate Softball Association National Championship in Kelowna, BC. The Saints will need to win their final round robin game against the University of Calgary on Sunday morning and get some help in the tiebreaker to advance to the Gold Medal final in the afternoon.

Kelowna, BC – The St. Clair College Women’s Softball team split their two opening day games Friday at the Canadian Collegiate Softball Association National Championship hosted by the University of British Colombia (Okanagan) in Kelowna, BC. St. Clair lost 7-6 to Humber College (Etobicoke) in their first game but rebounded nicely with an 8-3 victory over the University of Ottawa.

Kitchener, ON – The St. Clair College Women’s Softball team won by scores of 12-1 and 10-0 over Conestoga College (Kitchener) in mercy shortened fashion at Budd Park Sunday afternoon to keep their unblemished OCAA record a perfect 10-0.

Windsor, ON – St. Clair College will play host to an OCAA Women’s Softball 3-team round robin event Friday at the SportsPark diamond. The Saints (6-0) will face Fanshawe College (2-2) in the opener at 4pm followed by Conestoga College (2-2) at 6pm and the nightcap between Conestoga and St. Clair at 8pm.

Windsor, ON – St. Clair College Women’s Softball team moved their OCAA leading record to 8-0 after a pair of wins Friday at the SportsPark diamond defeating Fanshawe College (London) 11-0 in a mercy shortened six innings and then capping the night with a 10-1 victory over Conestoga College (Kitchener).
