Rosemary Smyth was the coach of the women's volleyball team at St. Clair College from 1979 to 1996.

During her time as coach she had an overall record of 210-149 with a winning percentage of .709. She also had four OCAA medals while coaching the Saints with two silver medals in 1982-83 and 1994-95 and a bronze in 1979-80 and 1993-94. She also made two CCAA appearances in 1982-83 and 1994-95 finishing fifth in 1982-83.

While at St. Clair she held the position of Intramural Coordinator for 20 years and Athletic Coordinator for four years from 1997 to 2001.

Throughout her time at St. Clair she coached three CCAA All-Canadians (Beth Brannagan 2-time and Noelle Browning). She was also named OCAA Coach of the Year on three occasions.
