Ancaster (ON) The St. Clair College men's varsity soccer team started their OCAA regular season schedule on a positive note on Saturday afternoon.
The Saints were in Ancaster to take on the Redeemer University Royals and came away with a convincing 6-0 win.
St. Clair scored 3 goals early to take control of the match and cruised to victory from there playing a solid all around match. Tyrone Mulder (Chatham; Chatham-Kent) led the way with 3 goals with singles going to Massimo Pollard (Windsor; Holy Names), Bastian Aguilera (Chile) and Noel Junior (Brazil). Haiden Gelinas (Windsor; St. Joseph's) was great in net in picking up the clean sheet.
St. Clair is next in action on Saturday when they travel to Mississauga to take on the University of Toronto-Mississauga at 3 pm.
The Saints home opener is on Saturday, Sept 21 when they host the top ranked Humber Hawks at Mic Mac Field #2 at 4 pm.
