St. Clair’s O’Reilly Named OCAA Top Pitcher

Windsor, ON – The St. Clair College Men's Baseball team were 12-2 this fall season on their way to the top seed for the OCAA Championship being hosted by Durham College in Oshawa this weekend.  Boarding the bus will be some individual league award winners topped by rookie Cameron O'Reilly (Moose Jaw, SK) who earned the OCAA Pitcher of the Year selection.

Southpaw hurler O'Reilly had a league best 0.88 earned run average in his four appearances on his way to a perfect 4-0 record and the OCAA's 3rd best per game strikeout average.

O'Reilly was joined on the OCAA All-Star team by catcher Henry Real (Panama City, Panama), shortstop Josh Anderson (Ajax, ON) and first baseman Colin Robinson (Windsor, ON).

Real was 2nd in league batting with a 0.475 average and topped the OCAA in doubles (7) to go with 19 RBI's while throwing out the most baserunners defensively.  Anderson averaged 0.436 (OCAA 6th) at the plate and demonstrated his speed on the paths with 10 stolen bases (OCAA 2nd) with strong defense up the middle for the Saints.  Robinson was deft at first base for St. Clair while hitting a respectable 0.333 to go with three home runs (OCAA 2nd) and 12 RBI's.

St. Clair's first game will be Friday at 1:30pm against the winner of Thursday's opening round game between Fanshawe College (3rd West) and host Durham College (2nd East).  The OCAA Championship will be played at Oshawa's Kinsmen Stadium and full details can be found at www.ocaa.com/base
