Men’s Baseball Turns the Table to Earn Suspended Game Win

Markham, ON – The St. Clair College Men's Baseball team picked up another win Saturday at Bishops Cross Park in Markham continuing a previously rain suspended game with Seneca College (North York) from Sep. 25th.  The game resumed in the 4th inning with the Saints trailing 6-3.  But St. Clair flipped the script for a 16-7 victory to move their OCAA league leading record to 10-1. 

The teams went scoreless in the opening inning of resumption, but Seneca added a run in the 5th to widen the gap to 7-3.  St. Clair began the comeback tying the game at 7-7 in the 6th inning and then rattled off nine runs in the 7th for the run-away win. 

Brendan Renaud (Amherstburg, ON) paced the Saints offensively finishing the game with three hits including a double and added an RBI.  Colin Robinson (Windsor, ON) had a single and a double to go with his three RBI's while Austin Tilson (Windsor, ON) scored three times including once by a homerun as part of his two hit and three RBI game.  Blake Harnadek (Cottam, ON) had a single and double while driving in three runs.  Saints' 3rd year pitcher Michael Hamlin (Harrow, ON) covered the final four innings of to earn the win allowing just one run on three hits to go with three strikeouts and no free passes. 

St. Clair comes home for a doubleheader Wednesday night at Lacasse Park against Lambton College (Sarnia) with game times of 6:00 and 8:00pm.
